This landscaping consultation will be carried out by a QBCC licenced, fully qualified structural landscaper and irrigation plumber with over 25 years landscaping experience.

As a result of our detailed onsite consultation and offsite time compiling pricing, photo files and project information averaging 6-8 hours, we therefore are unable to offer a free quotation service. We do, however, offer a range of consultation options to suit your landscape requirements, with our consultation fee deducted from the cost of landscape works. We are more than happy to discuss your landscaping requirements by phone prior to the consultation.

Landscape consultations are about guiding you with design ideas, product selections and landscape solutions unique to your requirements. Our process is designed to result in sustainable, low maintenance landscapes that will suit your families lifestyle and add value to your property.

Standard landscape consultations allow 2 hours onsite to understand your requirements and aspirations. We evaluate your site, highlight any areas of concern, discuss design and material selection, detail durability and expected service life of product selections.

At Instant Greenscene, we customise our Landscape solutions to your requirements and can advise on most facets of landscaping. These may include structural landscape elements like retaining walls, decks and paving. We also offer a full selection of soft landscapes like garden design and turf | lawn selections. We also cater for the all important sub surface side of your landscape like landscape drainage, automated irrigation and landscape lighting.

Onsite Landscape Consultations – information and pricing

Our standard landscape consultations (includes landscape drainage and/or irrigation design consultations) include up to 2 hours onsite and are charged at $440 inc. GST (Mon–Fri) and $495 incl. GST (Saturdays). For additional hours, the rate is $220 per hour.

Our onsite consultation are ideal for residential landscaping inquiries involving multiple elements. It allows enough time to discuss your project in detail, with the option to extend the session for more complex or larger projects. In most cases, we provide a preliminary pricing estimate during the consultation, enabling immediate discussions on potential budget variations.

For smaller projects focused on a single element, we offer a 45-minute consultation onsite for $295 incl. GST. (standard 2 hour consultations are required for landscape drainage consultations) These shorter consultations are perfect for projects with a limited scope, offering a cost-effective and efficient solution.

On completion of our onsite landscape consultation, you may want to review your options, design elements and project budget before moving ahead with refining the design and selection for formal pricing at a later appointment. If you are satisfied with our pricing indications and firm on the proposed concept and material options, we can immediately move towards formal pricing.

Formal pricing is provided as a written quote outlining the full scope of work, with a single total price that includes all materials, labor and equipment to complete your project. To assist in visualizing the proposed work, we provide sample images of relevant products, materials, or similar projects, along with detailed product information and specifications where applicable

Optional Landscape Concept Plan

To assist in visualizing the proposed work, we provide sample images of relevant products, materials, or similar projects, along with detailed product information and specifications where applicable. For clients who find it difficult to picture the proposed designs, we also offer the option of a hand-drawn concept plan. This, combined with the included images and information, can greatly enhance your understanding of the project.

Please note, hand-drawn concept plans are not part of our standard site consultation and are available at $220 per hour. A fixed-price quote for the concept drawing can be provided during your initial consultation.

What is the cost of landscaping? A pragmatic approach to professional landscaping

Typically, a realistic estimate for landscaping costs falls within the range of 5% to 15% of the total property value. These figures are general guidelines and may vary based on the specifics of each project.

  • 5% encompasses soft landscaping, including turf and garden beds, featuring horticulturally based design with minimal earthworks.
  • 10% allows for the incorporation of limited structural works alongside soft landscaping elements. Structural components may involve features such as retaining walls, paving, decking, drainage systems, landscape lighting, and irrigation.
  • 15% typically applies to projects with higher volumes of structural elements combined with soft landscaping works. This may be relevant for larger properties or projects requiring significant earthworks.

Our landscape projects typically fall within the range of $30,000 to $150,000, depending on the size and unique requirements of each project.
